Join us on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe Teen Center for a special event in honor of Gun Violence Awareness Day. This gathering is a chance for our community to come together in support of survivors and families who have been affected by gun violence. It’s also a time to reflect, heal, and call for meaningful change.
The event will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a proclamation at 11:10 and remarks from Councilor Amanda Chavez at 11:20. At 11:30, you’ll hear powerful stories from individuals who have personally experienced the impact of gun violence. Closing remarks will take place around 11:50.
After that, from noon to 1:00 p.m., we’ll share a free lunch and participate in a community activity. The final hour, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., will be focused on community engagement and reflection.
We encourage everyone to wear orange as a sign of unity and commitment to ending gun violence. Let’s stand together for a safer, stronger Santa Fe.
