Join us on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Main Library Community Room for a special author event you won’t want to miss. Carolyn Huynh, author of the new novel The Family Recipe, will be in conversation with Santa Fe-based author Christina Vo.
This talk will dive into themes like family, identity, culture, and the Vietnamese-American experience. The Family Recipe tells the story of five siblings who have grown apart but are brought back together by a unique challenge—reviving their late father’s Vietnamese sandwich shops across the country in order to claim their inheritance. It’s a heartfelt and often funny novel about reconnecting through food, memories, and shared history.
After the discussion, there will be time for audience questions and a book signing with Carolyn Huynh.
This event is free and open to everyone. It’s a great opportunity to hear from two powerful voices in contemporary fiction and to reflect on the stories that shape us.
