On a sunny and brisk autumn day, golfers eager to squeeze-in one last golf tournament of the season, converged onto the Las Campanas golf course designed by legendary golfer, Jack Nicklaus, to play in the “On Par with Heros” golf tournament.
Door prizes and awards (men’s and women’s longest drive and closest to the hole, along with lowest team scores) were announced after play concluded.
The tournament’s title sponsor was Nusenda Credit Union, but included many other sponsors such as KSWV Suave Radio 99.9FM 810AM.
Javier Gonzales, Vice President & Chief Development Officer at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Foundation, warmly welcomed the participation of golfers and donors in support of the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation.

On behalf of the more than 2,200 employees at CHRISTUS St Vincent Hospital, we want to say thank you. With the commitment of our sponsors and your participation in our golf tournament at Las Campanas, we raised over $225,000 for our Associate Assistance fund. The timing couldn’t be more important as we head into the holiday season. So much of what we love about Santa Fe was on full display yesterday: people from all walks of life taking time out of their busy week to come together as a community, fellowship, and playing golf on a championship course to raise money for our health caregivers.
Our hospital is essential for the wellbeing and the healing of our community. Last year we provided clinic care for 422,000 patients, welcomed over 900 babies, performed 8,692 surgeries and managed 38,676 emergency room visits. That compassionate care is being provided by our Associates, and your financial support sends a strong message that you care about their wellbeing.
Our mission is to be a healing ministry for those who are in need of healthcare regardless of resources. Last year, CHRISTUS St. Vincent provided $38M in charity and compassionate care to our community and we continue to seek ways to broaden the number of individuals we can serve. The St. Vincent Hospital Foundation was established to provide philanthropic support so that our hospital could meet the ever changing healthcare needs of our community.
