Santa Fe Public Schools COVID-19 Update
A Santa Fe High School student tested positive for COVID-19 on March 25th, 2021. The student had last been on campus March 24th, 2021. The student is isolating and will continue to do so until released per Department of Health (DOH) guidelines.
The parents of students, teachers and coaches who are considered close contacts have been contacted and will quarantine for 10 days from the close contact date. It is recommended by the DOH that they also are tested for COVID-19.
As a result of this exposure, the SFHS Football program will be in recess for the season. There will be no future practices or games for the 2020-21 school year.
Contact tracing does not indicate this case was contracted from within SFPS. All personal identifying information will remain confidential. All reporting and cleaning protocols are being followed at Santa Fe High School.
Any parent/guardian of a student testing positive for COVID-19 must provide a list of close contacts to the DOH and SFPS’ lead or school nurse, who assists with contact tracing.
